Returning Borrowed Items
Items can be returned to any of the campus libraries, with the exception of High Demand items (hourly and daily) which should be returned to the library from which they were borrowed. Hourly loans should be returned to the lending/service desk so they can be checked in quickly.
Returning Library Items After-Hours
- Drop boxes are available outside each branch so that items can be returned to the Library when it is not open. Please note: drop branches are not available outside branches closed due to the earthquake.
- These boxes can only be used outside Library opening hours.
- Items returned in these boxes will be checked in before the Library opens the next day, so that any item returned on the day it is due, but after the Library is closed, will not incur a fine.

Central Library
Green and Yellow Wheelie bin at the foot of the steps to the Central Library and Learning Hub
Education Library
In the front doors (main entrance) of the Library.
EPS - Engineering and Physical Sciences Library
On the outside wall of the library, left of the door, around the corner.
Law Library
Outside wall (carpark side) of the Law building.
Macmillan Brown Library
Outside wall of the library, near the entrance door.
