Information Sources - Web Sites
What is the Web good for?
The Web can be particularly useful for current information and for information made available from associations, government departments and universities. It is also good for popular information and news items.
What is the Web not good for?
Web search engines, like Google, are not good for comprehensive academic research. As anyone can (and does!) publish on the Web, the information may not be accurate or objective. Books, journals and other resources available via the library have been evaluated and selected as being reliable. If you do use the Web, it is important to evaluate what you find.
Check with your Lecturer about the suitability of Web resources for your assignment.
