Search the right database
Databases can be either subject specific or multidisciplinary.
Subject databases cover the journals in a particular discipline and generally cover more scholarly sources, e.g. PsycINFO covers psychology and related areas. Compendex covers engineering.
To find the best dataabase for your subject, look on the Subject Guides.
Multidisciplinary These cover a wide range of subjects e.g. ProQuest covers all disciplines and covers both popular and scholarly sources. Useful if your topic is general or cross-disciplinary.
It is important to search databases that are related to your topic. You may need to search more than one database.
