Research Support Services

The Library provides services and resources to support UC researchers throughout the research process from idea generation through to the dissemination of research findings. Through membership of the Postgraduate and Research Committees and via Subject Librarians, the Library works closely with academic departments and Research and Innovation and is committed to supporting the research objectives of the University.

Consultancy Service

Contact your Subject Librarian for guidance on finding materials, the collections available, enhancing your research profile, managing your references and managing data. Databases and subject guides for your research area will help you generate ideas too. Funders increasingly expect data to be publically available, so an understanding of research data management and a well thought out Data Management Plan will support your funding bid. The Research Data Coordinator and Subject Librarians can provide specialist help and advice on the role of open access and where to publish.
