Introduction

This collection of archival resources has been gathered specifically for the use of History 480 students. It is designed to give students a quick impression of the archival resources that are available at Archives New Zealand, The Macmillan Brown Library and Canterbury Museum. Please be aware that the resources listed below are illustrative only. There are many thousands of linear metres of archives available at the three institutions that cover an innumerable number of topics. Be sure to contact one or all of the institutions for help with your specific research need. Contact details for each institution are listed below. Each of the three institutions has provided a preamble to their selections which provides information about their archives.
