Description |
Harold Harris practised psychotherapy in Christchurch during the 1960s-1980s. During his career in the field of mental health, he worked closely with the prominent psychotherapist Dr Charles Bevan-Brown, sharing an interest in the effects of early childhood experience on adult mental health. Some of Dr Bevan-Brown’s papers are included in this collection. Dr Bevan-Brown was one of the important influences on the study of psychiatry and mental health in New Zealand.There are documents relating to the New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists and the Christchurch Psychological Society. Much of the collection consists of papers, reports and studies relating to mental health. |
