Discussion Rooms

Study desks are available throughout the campus libraries. The libraries have a number of discussion rooms which are available for use by University of Canterbury users (ie: holders of a Canterbury Card). Some rooms are bookable, however other rooms are available on a first come, first served basis.

Central Library

The Central Library has 12 discussion rooms of various sizes. They may be booked for periods of up to 2 hours.

The large discussion rooms seat up to 12 people. These are Rooms 906, 1106, 1107. Book a large discussion room

The smaller discussion rooms seat 2 - 6 people. These are Rooms 902, 903, 904, 905, 1102, 1103, 1104, 1105. Book a small discussion room.

Education Library

The Education Library has 5 discussion rooms available for group work and are located on level two of the Library. They may be booked for periods of up to 2 hours.

Four of these rooms are smaller discussion rooms and seat 2 - 6 people. These are Rooms L202, L203, L204 and L205. The sixth room, L206, seats up to 10 people.

EPS Library

The EPS Library has 4 discussion rooms which are available for group work on level 2 in the west side of the library.

These can be booked for periods of up to 2 hours.

Law Library

The Law Library has four discussion rooms, located on Level Three, which are available for group work.

Online bookings can be made by LAWS 200+ students.

Maximum length 2 hours, maximum number of live bookings: 5, minimum time between bookings: 1 hour.
